# Functions Graph HELP watch

Announcements
1. The function f(x)= 5 + 3 cos (1/2 x) is defined for 0 ≤ x ≤ 2π

Sketch the graph of y = f(x)

I have no idea what to do or plot
2. BUMP
3. Never mind I figured it out
4. loook at each ttransformation on the graph separately i find that helps.
so the '5+' translates it in the y-axis positively (so the whole graph shifts upwards
the 3 on the outside stretches the curve in the y-axis so all y values are multiplied by 3
and the 1/2x inside the graph reduces the periodicity of the graph, so it stretches out in the x-axis, so all x values multiply by 2

now just apply all transformations and sketch away!!
