I've been in a relationship for almost 2 years and my partner keeps making references to marriage such as "marry me one day" and calling me wifey. So I wanted to ask if it's a hint that he is going to propose sometime soon. We're both in our third year of uni and looking to the future. I'm just apprehensive and nervous because he's been on this wifey/marry me wave for a while.

Who knows what's going on in his head? Nobody but him. So you need to have "the future chat". Suggest how many kids you want, when you want to be living with a partner, when you want to be married. Then you'll find out if he has similar aims in life. If you're in a serious relationship and have been together for nearly two years, it shouldn't be too awkward! And you'll feel much more comfortable once your questions have been answered.

It does sound like he wants to marry you. So, as the above poster said, you need to have the talk. Discuss your future after uni and talk about what you want from each other.

He's either dropping hints or he wants to know where you stand on marriage, whether you're up for it or not

I think 2 years is too soon but agree with everyone else that you should talk about where you each stand so you're clear.
