Hardest subjects in my opinion (no particular order):
Further maths - difficult and fast paced
History - extremely content heavy
French/other language if you’re not fluent - its not gcse you can’t just memorise stuff and hope for the best anymore
Chemistry - difficult to understand and content heavy
Biology - difficult to understand and content heavy
Physics - difficult to understand
Computer science - content heavy
Art - if u cant draw/paint extremely well and extremely quickly you’re ****ed

I'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics and an EPQ - I'm finding Further Maths fine at the moment, although this will definitely change when we start FP2 after half term. Struggling a lot with Maths currently, C3 is kicking my arse but I need an A* so I'm gonna have to work. Definitely don't regret choosing either of these two, as Maths is my favourite subject and what I want to study at uni, so they're kind of necessary  I did pretty well in them both at AS, so I reckon if I work hard I'll be okay

Physics at A Level is by far the hardest thing I've ever studied. I've only just got my head around the Year 1 content and the Year 2 stuff is absolutely baffling me. But I don't regret it and I wouldn't swap it for anything. I have learnt so much in the past year and a bit, and most of the stuff is actually really interesting. Besides, the Year 2 content looks better than Year 1, so if that does turn out to be true I'll have the motivation to carry on working hard for it.

EPQ is my biggest regret ever - I had the opportunity to drop it about 3 weeks ago and chose not to, biggest mistake ever. I hate it and am 100% going to fail, I don't know what on earth possessed me to carry it on.
Biology by a f****** mile. Don't take it. It's a despicable A level. Absolutely disgusting. It's not even actual biology. NO ONE WANTS TO LEARN ABOUT BLOODY PLANTS!!!!!

A-levels I took: Biology, Psychology, English lit.
Like English and psychology, both difficult but they all are so cant really complain; English is probably the best of the two.
100000% regret Biology, came out of GCSE with a B and for some reason thought it a great idea to do the A-level...couldn't grasp the concept of the subject because there is too much content and terminology. Have tried to get better at it but hit a brick wall really.
a level law
**** this ****
Sociology , history and English.
Sociology is easy peasy- literally requires minimal work and revision and low grade boundaries.
History is kind of hard though.
Idk if I regret any though because idk what I’d have chosen otherwise.
bio chem and english lit
english lit - i get good grades with minimal revision (sometimes)
biology - actual content isnt hard, but the remembering and application in questions is hard!!!
chemistry is my favourite tbh and for some strange reason i am finding second year content easier than first year (probably cos i didnt pay attention in first year)
overall, i find bio wayyyyy harder than the others.
probably would change bio or english for psychology/history/law
Maths is so full of nonsense that you will never even need to use what is the point of them including such stupidly specific/complex topics at A level?? Unfortunately the course I want to do requires Maths and I started positive but ended up hating it to death

Everything in A-level maths is applicable, don't think there's anything too specialised. Can understand if you don't like maths, it's not for everyone and A-level maths is a poor representation of what maths actually is. What course do you want to do at A-level.
I agree the only Maths ur gonna need in life is applied. They should have 2 papers of that and then one of pure.

Not really - you need the background in pure to do the more applied stuff. (in any case the "pure" at A-level is very computational and methods-based so really closer to applied maths than what you'd call pure maths at university) At university, (if you plan to go) any maths you learn should hopefully be taught in a way directly relevant to your subject and you'll be able to see how it ties into topics. Bear in mind that A-level maths is in theory supposed to prepare people for a maths degree too. Though it does so quite poorly.

I'm in 2nd year of A-Level and hate maths so much lol. Gotta keep up the grind though if I am going to get a grade
sociology, media studies and an epq.
I really enjoy them
I do further maths, maths, chemistry and biology. Really regret not doing physics instead of biology, I find it mind numbingly boring at times (all the ecology and conservation stuff) and would have probably found physics easier and more interesting considering my choice of a level subjects

Do you do all these a-levels (impossible) or is it just from what you have heard?
Took Psychology, Maths (Mech) and Biology. Achieved ABB, which met my firm offer but at the time I was a little disappointed. If I could rechoose my A Levels, I would go with Psychology, Maths (Stats) and English Literature.
1) What I took: English Lit, Spanish and History (up to A2 level) / French, Religious Studies, Politics, Human Biology (up to AS).

2) What I enjoyed: Spanish, French and Religious Studies
What I found easy: French, Spanish, Religious Studies and History.

3) What I regret taking: Human Biology x100 and Politics.

I took history french and music. Whatever you do dont take french!

That's true. You can always learn it for free online at your own pace not sit and exam for it. Siting for an exam drains the interest and joy of learning!
