    Hi.

Has anyone applied for a Midwifery course in Glasgow? If so, what was your experience of the application process? Or, if there are any students currently studying Midwifery, do you have any advice or pointers for future students?

I attended an open day at UWS and we were told that they receive over 900 applicants per year from people all over the UK. Around 400 of those are taken to interview and then only (approximately) 75 people are successful in securing a place on the course. So it does sound extremely competitive. Almost enough to put you off!

I was also informed that there are no longer maths and literacy tests, and instead they use group interviews. Has anyone experienced this?

Has anyone been rejected? If so, what was your next move? How did you pick yourself up again?

    Thanks in advance 😀
