Has anyone taken a RHS horticulture qualification? I want to be a full time gardener but don’t have the funds for my course. I’ve tried bursaries but I can’t get help, any ideas? Also any tips on becoming a gardener? Thanks

I used to teach the RHS qualifications, they are very informative and really stretch your plant knowledge, I'd certainly start with the practical skills qualification. Also they are part time so you could work along side them and do the course a day or evening a week.
It looks like the RHS do offer some funding, you may be eligible https://www.rhs.org.uk/education-lea.../rhs-bursaries
If you can afford to do full time (there are student loans available) there are some good courses through Btec and City & Guilds
What aspect of 'gardening' are you interested in? Landscaping, maintenance, design?
There are lots of options and routes into the industry, we promote landscaping through a campaign called GoLandscape, have a look if you get a chance.
    All the best
