    I was wondering if I could choose whether my lectures are in the morning or afternoon? Or whether they would be cluttered

    You may have some free choice of modules, and may know the lecture times in advance (although this is unlikely, as they will need to know the class size to fix the room size, and then they would have to find out when that room is free).

    But other than that, no, you can't. Unis have a lot of students and modules to run, and so have to fix the timetable in a way that works for them. Other groups will need to use the same rooms and the same tutors. They can't change that just because you don't want to get up for 9am.
