    Imperial, UCL, Durham and Edinburgh spring to mind, but there are loads of quality universities offering excellent biology/chemistry degrees. You need to do some proper research to find a course you like. Degrees, even if they're in the same subject, can differ quite a bit in terms of module options and teaching methods.

    As above, although some more specific examples are KC'Ls bioscience department(s), Southampton's Ocean/Earth Sciences department, and Bath's Chemistry department. However just because those departments are good doesn't necessarily imply the others are - for example biosciences is still a burgeoning department at Southampton, and their Chemistry department, which was quite strong for a while, has stagnated somewhat in recent years.
