Well, where do I start.... Holy &^%... It's already been over a month since I started the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and I've got to say- it has been the longest- quickest month of my life (so far atleast) O.O.

To be honest, it hasn't been tooooo bad, getting used to the amount of work I receive in comparison to GCSEs has probably been the hardest thing for me to cope with. I really enjoy the way the subjects are taught- I enjoy thinking critically, it's probably the best aspect of the program from my point of view.

All of my subjects are taught by enthusiastic teachers so that's help me get through quite a bit because they're livelier than I would have expected them to be. Right now, I'm really loving maths and history. The others are also super fun too
OH YEAH! The upper sixth students are super cool- they gave me advice about the program and helped me feel as though I am part of the sixth form ( I'm new to the school.)

I also had my first spanish reading test on Friday: that was next level - But i'll get better with practice Once I get through this week of exams, I'll have my space on each subject secured- I have chemistry, maths and English literature tomorrow...fingers crossed.

For CAS- I'm doing this project called Educreate: where we have scenarios which we have to solve problems within London and next month we actually get to go off and solve a problem of our choice- I'm looking forward to that!!

TOK has been pretty trippy xD but that's what makes it great.

Overall, one month into the program, I don't regret choosing it at all.

    Subjects:

    Maths SL
    Spanish SL
    English Lit SL

    Biology HL
    Chemistry HL
    History HL

Haha, I'm glad somebody does and I know I missed a month I'd forgotten to use TSR.

Well, since I didn't post in November, I'll just do a combo post.

November was....interesting to say the least. Stupidly, I tested the waters and let my assignments pile up. NEVER AGAIN. It just kept getting worse. Constant managebac notifications But I've learnt my lesson and I'm happy I did it, I'll do everything in my power to avoid that feeling.

I tried to move to Spanish ab initio but apparently I'm not allowed to. That's been fun xD

Chemistry has been really interesting, I think it's got to be my favorite subject so far. Things I've learnt in the past are seeming to click as I get deeper into content, which is an amazing feeling.

History is interesting but honestly it feels like I've been doing same thing (appeasement) for the last 8 weeks and it's very repetitive.

Biology, it's basically just memorizing but it's pretty interesting, I guess?

English lit, I had my IOP, I think it went well, although I gave a "slightly nervous" performance. I'll be finding out my grade in January, so fingers crossed!

Maths is fun, I initially thought I was going to do HL (I was in the class until Nov) but now I do SL, I got up to topic 3 in the HL class and I revised to topic 5 at home. So it's a bit boring but a good opportunity to consolidate knowledge?

But yeah, 3 months into IB still not regretting it. I feel like I've gotten better at organisation and other things.

omg we're literally doing the same subjects like highers and standards as well, that's cool. I mean i'm a bit of a mess rn in terms of organisation; got my IOP to prepare for next Wednesday, a chemistry IA plan to do for Tuesday, a TOK essay to revise and a history essay to actually write but it's been fun, much prefer it over what a-levels seem like.
