This is a nice question that reduces down to sin x= cos x

I wasn't quite sure. It was given part of my c3 assignment from Edexcel.

That's a lovely question bit sneaky but I like it

ln sin x = - ln sec x
ln sin x ln sec x = 0
ln ( sin x sec x ) = 0
ln ( sin x /cos x ) = 0
sin x / cos x = e^0
tan x = 1
x = 45 degrees

Hope that this helps :smile:

It is a good question as it tests your C2 aswell as your C3

Indeed. I feel that I have to keep refreshing theory with all the previous modules.

There was also one occasion where I had to complete a Poisson distribution question that included some normal distribution.

ln sin x = - ln sec x
ln sin x ln sec x = 0
ln ( sin x sec x ) = 0
ln ( sin x /cos x ) = 0
sin x / cos x = e^0
tan x = 1
x = 45 degrees

Hope that this helps :smile:

yep

Ah is that S2? I have only done S1 so I don't know any S2 stuff but I found S1 to be quite a good Applied Module

Yeah, the s2 would be introducing more distributions. Guarantee that u may like it more than S1 . Even my statistics teacher was so enthralled that he jumped to teaching s2 first; I felt that he didn't want to be teaching C3 ( leaving it for my other maths teacher to do it).

Hope that didn't confuse u. I may have rambled a bit. 😅

There is some intergration in ch3 if you would be considering taking the s2 module. Not too bad so far into the course.

Can't Normal Math and school only allows M1 and S1 for us. But S1 went well in the summer so hopefully so will m1

Ahh. There were some of my friends who decided to take D1 rather than S2. Whole lot of different combos.
I bet you will do amazing in M1.

Hopefully, don't have any GCSE Mechanics as I didn't do GCSE FM, I do have A level physics though so should be grand.
