    Hi everyone,

I basically couldn't get into unis of my choice, and now I've decided to take a gap year and resit all my exams again. I had got decent grades at GCSE

    GCSE:
    Chemistry A
    Physics A
    Biology A
    Maths A*
    English C
    ICT C

But something happened in college, I just couldn't focus and had some family issues as well. Was all stressed out and ended up getting BCC

    Physics B
    Maths and chemistry C

Teachers have told me that A-levels are just much much harder, I know they are but I just didn't give them my best.

I'm not fully sure of the course I want to do but I had applied to UCL for computer science (and other unis).

I want to add further maths to improve my chances to get into a good uni, but wanted to ask you guys if it's a right decision.

    I'm just confused

Appreciate any advice you can give me.
    Thank you!

Do you have an interest in maths? You don't need to do further maths for compsci, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it if a) you struggled in maths A-level or b) are not actually interested in the subject.

I actually love maths, tbh I didn't even expect a C, cause I couldn't give it my best, I'm just worried about the workload if I add further maths. I might not be applying for CS again. With further maths I will have more options.
