So, I went to see Blade Runner 2049 last night after rewatching the original on Saturday.

The new film for me was a 10/10 absolute amazefest until... THE END.

What on earth was that last scene all about?

After going through hell and contemplating killing themselves to protect the daughter, what do they do but fly straight to her and die on her doorstep?!

Everyone is going to find her immediately.

It's such a massive plot hole that it ruined the film for me.

I saw it on a IMAX 3D screen. Looked lovely. Amazing visuals. Fantastic sound. But sorry dull and dragged out story. 2 hours and 43 mins running time? And the end was set up for a sequel.

I don't think that was the end. There is bound to be another sequel to this.

Movie was a bit too complicated for my liking though (I probably should have watched the first part to understand it fully).

Yes I agree it was set up for a sequel, it just seemed so counter intuitive to suddenly reverse a plan to hide her for over thirty years. Still, it must be good to get her out of that prison!

I also don't think he is actually dead.

It was very, very long. I loved it but there were moments when I thought 'hurry up'.

Takings wise it's not done very well.

US it has had a bomb showing at box office. I can't imagine Trump watching it, so OK.

UK it's actually already overtaken Interstellar and Gravity which each did 700 million worldwide. The movie could easily explode in Japan, South Korea and China.

If not, well, the original Blade Runner didn't even break even! Lost 7 mil.

Because once K found out the truth about the Replicant Birthing a child, everyone else was looking for her too?

Suppose K just buggers off, does that really improve the situation? That's just two less allies for the girl while Jared Leto and his insane killer kickass killface ***** are still out to get her regardless.

Ah so it’s because she’s close to being found, and the resistance replicant group have offered to protect her?
