They voted it for it because THEY WERE SERIOUSLY MISLED AND MANIPULATED BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO INTEREST IN THEIR WELFARE.

    Spoiler:
    Show

    Since you're shouting. :teehee:
That is how all democratic elections work. Politicians make their case, they exaggerate, omit things, often outright lie.

General Elections are exactly the same. The losers don’t refuse to accept the result in those.

If Brexit is stymied by people like you, and it is very possible, that will be the end of the very belief
in democracy itself for a nation changing percentage of the population. Over seventeen million people voted for it, far more than any party gets to form a government. Far more than Corbyn will get, yet he is acclaimed as someone who will have the right to transform the country.

Why should his victory be accepted? Why should any government in future be held to be legitimate?
If the nation votes for something and it doesn’t happen because the losers refused to accept the result, why bother to vote at all in future? There are other ways to do things.

You will have destroyed democracy to keep us close to your sh itty little political and European Union that costs us tens of billions every year, and tells us what to do every day of our lives. At best we will be a vassal state.

Be careful what you wish for Remoaner.

    Exactly.

How will you feel when Prime Minister Corbyn has all these new powers at his disposal?

You mean like staying in Europe in 1975?

Ask any Brexit supporting politician born in 1957 or before whether they voted "yes" or "no" in 1975; you won't find many that have changed their mind. They simply refused to accept the result. It was nothing to do with "the EU is different from the Common Market". They voted "no" in 1975 and have been campaigning against Europe ever since.
