    Hi,

I am in y13 and currently applying for university courses. To be considered for the 4 year Medicine degree at Nottingham I have to get at least a 2:2 in my degree. However, I really want to do a degree that will prepare me in some way for GAMSAT( I already do A level English literature so I will hopefully be prepared for section 1)

I am considering: Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry (a heavy Biology and Chem based degree)In terms of Physics I may need tutoring or something because although it is A level standard I have no background knowledge about it. Has anyone done a particular degree and got a decent score for the GAMSAT? I am really stuck with my 5 degree choices.

    Thanks.😊

Biomedical Science is the standard choice for Graduate Medicine, but anything with a strong chemical component works just as well. A lot of the Physics needed in medical tests I've heard is actually learnt during Chemistry, so you shouldn't be too far off.

I'd say either Biomed or Biochem, but it really depends what you prefer studying during undergrad.
