I am in my final year of my course and previously for the last 2 academic years I have received a grant however for this year I have applied for a grant and a small maintenance loan as I will be living on campus. Despite there not being a change in my mother's circumstances I have not heard any info about receiving grant. Could this be because I have a maintenance loan or is it because my course was recently switched from a 4 year course with a placement year back to a 3 year course.

Have you asked to be income assessed?

    Hi Danish.S,

Can I advise you first to check your application online, if it still shows as a placement year, this will need to be updated to the three year course.

Your university can advise us of the transfer, if they have not already done so, by sending a Transfer notification, electronically.

You need to supply your household income each year to be assessed for the maximum support including the grant.

If you haven't already done so for 2017 academic year, you will find the forms you need here to be reassessed as meanstested.

    Thanks Rona
