I need to pick a back up for medicine out of Chemistry with medicinal chemistry at Warwick, Chemistry with Pharmacology at Birmingham and Chemistry at Bath.

I doubt the straight chemistry would be a good idea as it's not that relevant to medicine and they'll want to give offers to people who say how much they love chemistry in their personal statement.

Unis are used to seeing personal statements for medicine being sent to them as a fifth option so don't worry about it. Pick the one that interests you most and maybe ask if you can send a separate statement.

Make sure you're considering the entry grades. No use having a backup for medicine if your offers for medicine and your backup require the same grades, so if any of them have lower requirements than your medicine choices (AAB/ABB or below) I'd suggest choose that one as it's safest.
