Prospective IT Eng. Officer applicant watch

New to the board and just wanted to get some views/opinions/feedback etc. to the above role as there doesn’t appear to be too much on it.

I have seen another thread similar to mine in that I am 28 and now considering the RAF. My position differs however in that I am studying for a degree in network Engineering and not just wanting any role that I might like.

I am wanting to know if this is a role that is really ‘highly sought after’ as from what I’ve heard - most want the other route and they currently have a ‘golden hello’ for passing the training. I have been to my local AFCO and the lady I spoke to was somewhat ‘vague’ in her knowledge, so it’s more for me to get a better view from people either going through it or are living it.

At the moment it is something that I am very much looking at doing and already in the process of preparing for it so that I am ready to go once I get my degree and can apply.

    Thanks for your time.
