    Hello there,

My partner just started his basic training and he asked me to send him some earphones so we can easily speak on the phone (while he's busy ironing! hah). ** It's only been a week and it's so hard been apart... We've been living together for 6 years and got engaged at the beginning of the year. It's a bit scary!**

Anyway, I'm not sure if there's a specific address for personal mail for recruits who just joined.
Is this address the same for everyone?

    Royal Air Force Halton
    Aylesbury
    Buckinghamshire
    HP22 5PG

Also, do I just put his name or do I need to be more specific and add his number and stuff?

Sorry if the question might be a bit silly but I wouldn't want my stuff to be lost!

Any info will be much appreciated!

You should use his number, rank name and details of whichever squadron he's in along with the Halton address

Include something that looks like this:

    AC (Surname)
    Service Number
    Flight Number (e.g 6 Flight)
    Recruit Training Squadron.

    Thank you both!
Tried to look on RAF Halton website FAQ but the bit about sending stuff through mail (like ironing boards) didn't include these details so thanks for telling me!

I imagine it's quite difficult to fit an ironing board in an envelope
