I'm currently on a gap year and am conflicted between uni and an apprenticeship. I've been offered a place at the University of Bristol to study History and also an apprenticeship with Munich Re, one of the world's leading reinurance firms - I'd be based on Fenchurch St in the City of London. A Russell Group Uni with a History degree vs Paid work and an AAT qualification. Dilemma. Any advice?

do you want to do the type of role and career that the apprenticeship leads to? if yes then go for the apprenticeship. If no think about why you want to do history and if you think it will get you into a career you might want to do (enjoying your subject is important but it is only 3 years so make sure it can lead to something you think you will enjoy after)
