I have just started university and wondered if lecture notes were enough for sourcing content we need to know from? I can supplement with a textbook. I also feel a bit out of my depth with no course specific textbook or revision guide.
    How do you guys revise?

Lecture notes/slides are often very useful. For revision, I use a technique called RAGing. I'd list the topics/content [this could be 1 topic/lecture etc - or a detailed modular content list] and Red, Amber or Green each topic - indicating my level of knowledge/confidence in that particular topic. You can also ask lecturers to provide a list of useful textbooks/resources you can use (some would list these within the slides). I highly recommend Khan Academy (it never stops being useful).

I'd try and ask lecturers for reviews on specific topics. This is something you will be expected to do in 2nd/3rd year to a greater extent.
