I know my post might sound like I'm ungrateful, but honestly I really appreciate my life !!
Basically I'm almost 17 and I feel like my family are really controlling, I'm in sixth form and as a teen I'm not allowed to wear trousers/skirts, or makeup. I don't have a phone and I'm not a allowed to text my friends or go out with anyone. My mum just stands their watching me when I do stuff like when I'm on my iPad and it makes me really uncomfortable. A few days ago I came out of the bathroom after waxing my moustache (soz tmi), and she was standing in my room staring... and she said I shouldn't be doing it. I'm also not allowed to get my eyebrows done etc.
I'm only allowed to wear maxi dresses.
I was casually talking to my parents about uni and I get the impression they're not gonna let me move out, and I want to get my own apartment.
I'm not lazy or anything, I work, study and get really good grades. My grandma is a bit stereotypical and doesn't let me wear jeans etc.
Like honestly NOTHING happens how I want it to, my parents decide where I go (with them, I'm not allowed out with friends), they decide EVERYTHING !!! I just feel like I'm living a fake life, my parents tell me how to act and what not !! They don't even let me listen to friggin music !! My grandma just randomly walks into my room when I'm in school and starts 'cleaning' it, I swear to you guys I clean it every single day !! My mum doesn't even let me make my own friends, she doesn't like my best friends and tbh she doesn't even know I have a best friend. I'm just so fed up, and I can't just sit down and have a chat with them, that'll never work, they just don't care and just don't listen. I'm fed up with my own life...

which country are your parents from?

Just apply to unis away from your home. Best thing to do really. That means you'll get to move out. Just put up with it for a couple more years. If you can, try to talk to them too.
