Last year I got an E overall in maths and so I am resisting modules this year. However, I am worried I will fail again, as well as A2 maths. My teacher isn't the best either and I don't feel like I ever get the chance to use my brain, because he always works out the answer on the board before giving us a chance to work it out on our own. Also he complicates solutions, for example I tried explaining an easier way and he chose to ignore me and refused to acknowledge my ideas. I enjoy maths in general, but I am struggling. Anyone have an advice/help? Or even your option on the situation?

How about not looking at the board until you've got your own answer?

I'm on about a physical board, something you write on. Not the exam board...

I think they're talking to me about how I keep looking at the board for the answer.

I know but its so tempting to look and he moves on so quick so I don't even have time to work it out on my own. Ugh this is stressing me out so much.

If u got an E there is no way you will be able to understand the A2 content.
    Resit AS maths

    They're already resitting as maths?

My advice would be to attend any mentoring/catch up classes at your college. The worst thing you can do is get demotivated and stressed, ask for question sheets based on last years work and attempt them at home. I'm sure your teacher would be willing to help/check your work if you speak to them after class.

Aha I kinda understand, just applying my knowledge I find super hard. And I would only do AS but 1. they count for nothing (other than points) and 2. I only do two other subjects and I'm not allowed to pick anything else up

Thanks for the good advice! Unfortunately my teacher doesn't have the time to do mentoring/catch up lessons but I'll definitely ask for question sheets. Thank you!!
