    It's subjective.

If you're starting A-levels and he's in 2nd year of uni then I'd find it a bit weird but :dontknow:

    Yes, a lil bit.

You are close in age sure, but not necessarily in mentality(this is not to say you are not mature) and physically, you are still growing.

To me at 16, people 19 and above were older (not necessarily more mature in mind, just older) because they carried themselves differently.

Now that I'm 19 I'd still agree and say there is a slight gap between 16-19 yr olds...

Now that I'm in a position that I'm talking with 21 year olds however... it doesn't feel that different, most 21 yr olds I speak to, it feels as if they were my own age, and I feel the age gap kind of closing.

It's up to you at the end of the day. I just think 16-19 yrs is a period in which you are both still kind of growing and wanting/receiving different things in your life.

Truthfully, it is quite difficult, I personally would not want to date a girl older than me again. Just the mindset between the two ages is just too different.

For the older half, the rule of thumb is to never date someone younger than half your age plus seven.
    For your boyfriend - 19/2+7 = 16.5
Borderline, but it's OK. That's just a guideline though, the main concern is whether you make each other happy.
