I was one mark off an A* (53/60) and was wondering if I can still do anything about it, most of the Yr 10s entered early for the ICT exam and was wondering if there was anyway for me to get the A* without a push from my coursework.

    Is the A* really necessary?
Yes, because I don't think my coursework will be able to push it up.

No I meant do you really need an A* in the ICT exam? If no then I wouldn't bother

Well done youve had over a month to do something and now you are to late. You need to be a little faster.

Wait until your coursework result comes in. If it's possible, you could try to get a remark or review, but remember that the cutoff has to be somewhere.

Yes again, it counts as 25% of my exam and if I get it, then it may contribute to me getting at least an 8 rather than a 7 in the new specification. My ideal career Job is to become a software engineer which is why I want to get a very good grade.

I was asking my ICT teacher if I can do anything about it, she left me in the dark so I wanted to find out if there was anything I can do from someone else.

Why would an A* make a difference over an A? No one apart from you will care, an A is still excellent.

You are too late. Dont blame it on your teacher you could have found out for yourself. The deadline was either 21 Sept or end of Sept.
I wasn't blaming anyone, but thank you for the information.
