I'm in Year 13 now but I am planning on taking a year out. I was planning on applying for Uni this year and deferring for a year but I don't think I am going to get any offers based on my predicted grades....
If I apply next year (the same time as the current year 12's) will I hear back as soon as I send off my application since I already have my grades?
If I apply in say September (after I have my final grades), will I hear back straight away about starting in the following September or do I have to wait until the current year 12's find out?

Sorry if this didn't make any sense! Not sure how to word it, I really hope someone can help

I assume since they know your grades are definite, you'll hear back much sooner because they're not risking like they are with predictions. even with predicted grades I was given a reply SO early (within 3 days of Bristol and Nottingham for example) so ye it's possible. not sure about Oxbridge tho
