Why would my payments be blocked?

There are various reasons your payments may be blocked, first check online that you have provided your bank details.
The most likely scenario is that, if this is the first year that you are applying for a loan and you have recently returned your customer declaration form, the terms and conditions of the loan, then we have to validate your National Insurance Number with the Department of Work and Pensions.
This is a normal process that only occurs in the first year you are applying for a loan. It is a Wednesday to Wednesday process, once returned as valid, your payment will automatically unblock and be released. A bank transfer takes three to five working days.
