Hi, Im an international student applying for medicine for 2018 entry and I'm starting to get worried that I wont get accepted. Here are my stats:

O levels (equivalent to GCSE): 4As (Chem, Bio, Physics and Maths) and 5Bs
    AS grades: A in maths
A level prediction: A*AA (Maths, Bio, Chem)
    UKCAT: 2480, band 2

    Unis applying:
    Queen Mary
    Southampton - Biomedical science

I know my O level and UKCAT score is not that great but Bristol gives more weighting to the personal statement so I'm hoping that can compensate for the low o level and UKCAT. I'm not sure if these grades will just give me rejections from all the universities im applying to so please help

Definitely avoid Newcastle, perhaps even avoid Queen Mary. Newcastle's cutoff is usually 690+ so you will likely not meet the ukcat cutoff. Queen Mary does a 50:50 weighting of tariff and ukcat and I don't think your tariff is high enough to compensate for the ukcat (a lot of people have A levels). Instead, perhaps consider Keele with a good personal statement. Not sure where else though as most schools use GCSEs as a guideline.
