Hi guys, I am taking gap year this year and I got A*A*A* in my A levels. I feel like I'm forgetting everything I did and when I will go next year in university I will struggle. So what shall I do. Shall I go over the content again or do I get taught everything again. I'm scared that they will teach me more and will be expecting me to know everything from a level. I did a lot of practise and they were so many difficult type of question in A level which I like mastered it and remeberred the way to do such questions especially calculation e.h acid and bases. I think I'm forgetting those too. Also is chemistry in university hard or is it straight forward especially calculation e.g is it like A level that tries to pick out students.

It depends where you go for chemistry that will depend on how much you are supposed to know
First year is usually spent building on topics done a A level, kinetics, mechanisms, inorganic metals and properties, they don't necessarily assume knowledge. My first lecture was "This is the last time we lie/over simplify chemistry"
I know a couple of people that did a gap year and they did just as well in their exams as the rest of us
