I messed up my chem mock and got a C predicted for UCAS. I've done loads of volunteering and work experience amd I've got a strong personal statement. My total UKcat score was also above average by 200-300 points. Is there any Unis for med that would even consider my application?

I’m really sorry, but your chances are basically zero unless you can persuade your school to up your prediction.

However, you’re clearly really good at the UKCAT, so if you achieve AAA-A*AA in June, and take a gap year, then you’d have a really good chance of getting in.

Why not apply for biomedical courses this year, just in case you don’t get good enough grades for medicine? And then if you do get at least 3As, reject your offers and apply for medicine.

You could start looking into gap year opportunities like volunteering in an old people’s home or working as a healthcare assistant at a hospital now.

Also, a few Unis have places in clearing for medicine on results day, like St George’s, so you could give that a go providing you get good enough grades.

Thank you for the help. Yeah its been really frustrating since I know that I am definietly capable of getting higher than an C in chemistry aghhhh
I've applied for a foundation course in nottingham and hopefully I'll be accepted as their Grade boudaries are much lower (BBc) Thank you - if I dont get accepted this year I guess I'll just wait a year :/
