    how do you work this out?

    A boy whirls a 30g conker around his head in a circle at a speed of 2.2ms-1 using a taut inextensible string. How much work is done on the conker by the tension in the string?

    work done = force x distance moved parallel to the force

    clearly the conker is experiencing a centripetal force from tension... but is it ever getting closer to the centre of the circle?
