Repeating a year

Hi!
I'm a student at Sixth Form who is currently repeating year 13. Unfortunately I did not perform well in my exams last summer due to health reasons (both mental and physical) however I am applying for biomedical sciences this year. My hope is to eventually apply for medicine but I was wondering if I would be at a disadvantage because I have repeated a year?
Many thanks!!

You need to make sure that your reference explains the issues that led to the resit year. And before applying check with the universities directly whether they’ll consider your circumstances.
