Hello, I’m currently doing my AS and I will be sitting for General Maths, Physics AS and Chem As in the upcoming summer session. However, in May 17 session I sat for my C12 and S1. S1 turned out to be distratrous and I had to change plans on how I wanted to approach my A levels. So I’ve planned to reseat for those units in the upcoming session including C12.I wanted to know whether by retaking those units, will I be able to cancel out the May 17 session? By any chance is May 17 sitting be shown in my certificate? I don’t want just a good C12 unit represent two year of my AS, and overall represent 3 years of A Level.

Retaking does not cancel out the original results. If you have been awarded an AS based on those results it is a qualification that you have.
If you retake and improve one or both of the units you can ask for a new AS grade to be awarded or you can just count the new results towards the full A level results when you take C34 etc.
If you intend to apply to university in UK then you are required to state both results.
I don't know what might be required if your plan is to apply elsewhere.
