I'v been doing French since Year 7 (currently in Year 11) and our teacher for french was switched in Year 8 so that sucked for sure since I really liked our previous french teacher and hence enjoyed it more.

However since our new teacher has come in I have lost interest (you know how it is). Last year in Year 10 we had a parents evening and I asked to drop it since my grade was so low, she responded with 'you can't drop it'.
Ever since I have absolutely hated going to lessons and it makes no sense for me being forced to take it because it isn't benefiting me or the teacher.

All its doing is lowering my APS.

    So what should I do?
And how would I study from now until the GCSE?

It sounds like you really don't like it. My advice would be buy the CPG revision guide for french and go over EVERYTHING you aren't sure of. If you feel like you really can't take it anymore, ask your parents to write a note to your school saying that you ARE dropping it, and the school can't do anything about it.

If that fails, make flash cards and if you have a friend in that class practice talking to them in French. Me and my friend text in spanish and it has helped improve our speaking. As its French, just make sure you know the grammar
