Im really not sure what i can do or even if i shouldve resat 2 of my A levels as i want to go into law although i am at a well regarded uni i resit 2 of my A levels so that when i apply to training contracts and jobs my A levels dont look bad
however several users on here have been saying that resits for law look as bad as bad A level grades
is this actually the case or not ?

My current grades would defiently be enough for the Minimum A levels expected when applying to training contracts at some top law firms however now i am thinking that the resit would mean only my first grades would be considered and they are ****
is their anyway around this ?

    any advice would be great

I've read this three times and I still don't get what you are saying.

    What were you original grades?

my original grades were BCC but i resit 2 of them and now my grades are AAB but ive heard that as i resit 2 of them law firms will only consider my original grades do you know if this actually happens or not

Yes, many firms will only consider your first grades - they tend to be those with harsh a -level filters though. Some won't though, and there are some that will consider the resits and admire the determination to succeed. There are some that won't care about you a-level grades full stop.

There is no uniform process with this. When you get to applying you need to speak to the firms you want to apply to and get their take on this.

The reason for the tough end approach is more to do with assessing three full A-levels sat in the same year for fairness. It is much more complicated and difficult studying and sitting three subjects together than it is one or two, especially if you have additional time (typically an extra year) to study them.
