    HI TSR,

Today at my school we had a careers evening and some representatives of universities were at the meeting. When I talked to them about my English Language grade some of them accepted that a 5 was 'enough' to pass the minimum requirements. However this was the minority, most other universities said I needed at least an A or B in English and since I got a 5( most unis believe it is equivalent to a 6) I could not even consider going to their University.

2 weeks ago I put my name down for retaking English language and I am currently revising for English Language now. However, all the Universities said that they do accept people who retake as they only accept people who sit their exam first time. (Not all universities were there, there were about 8).

So my question is. Should I retake English Language. If I do then most universities will not accept me because they only accept people who sit the first time. If I do not retake it more than half of the universities I cannot even consider applying to. Not only that but my application would be weak compared to others who got 7s and et cetera. Please help!!

If I have approached this wrong and got the completely wrong idea. Please correct me. Also, any links that would that would help me out would be hugely beneficial.

    Thank you!!
