Computer Science Internships.

So I started my first year of Computer Science. For internships what are the most useful skills most tech companies look for and in each case how should I focus on them so I can be a good competitor?

I would also be interested in other types of internships (not just tech related), so does anyone have any Idea what skills I should focus on?

I know I'm asking vague questions but maybe someone can educate me lol Could you please be fairly detailed in your response, thanks!
