Hi, I have a very particular question about applying for to several undergraduate courses in the UK.
I live in Hungary and am currently studying economics at a local university. I have heard from some of my acquaintances that unis knowing that I am attending a course in my gap year can significantly ruin my chances of getting an offer. On the other hand, LSE, where I am also applying to, encourages assessing me based on my current studies ( according to their website).
My question is that If my first point is true, then is it acceptable if I don't include details on my current studies (this is my first year) in my UCAS application, but instead privately inform LSE.

If you don’t declare that and they find out they’d likely not consider you - better to be honest
