    Hi,
I am in year 12 at the moment and have to do a weeks or more work experience. I am doing History, Maths and English for my a-levels and am interested in going to study PPE ( Politics, Philosophy and Economics) or IR ( International Relations) or even History at a university like Oxfrod or Bath. But I don't know what to do for works experience! I don't live near London and can't commute there easily and am struggling to find law or solicitor placements.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be a huge help, or if you have any suggestions on what to do? I don't really want to do primary school work as I did that in Year 10 and it wasn't bad I just want a change.
    Thanks in advance!

Are they no solicitors where you live who are willing to let you work there? There really isn't any easy way around it if you want to do your work experience at a solicitor. Just keep calling and if some don't respond, best option would be to email them directly. Someone will reply

Ok, thanks. I am keeping on trying no matter what but also wanted to see what other people in the same position as me did.

I can relate. I have been calling lots of consultants for observation and shadowing them in the hospital. Till now, I have emailed 73 consultants and only 2 have replied who are abroad and can't help me out. Since today morning, I have been calling as well emailing more consultants and it's not going that well but who knows someone might give a positive reply.
