AH I know it's first world problems but I just wanted to know if any of you have done something like this before and how did you fix it?! I bought this crazily expensive bed for my partner as a surprise when we got together. Is there any solutions? I put it in rice for a whole day and it did do anything. The light that goes off whenever you press a button is constantly on. I've tried brand new batteries.

It seems you ll have to replace the remote if drying it out didn't help

    Hmmmm. Not so good.

It's likely to be damaged beyond repair. The rice trick is a long shot and you would need to take the whole thing apart, clean the circuit board by removing any salts built up around electrodes and pcb tracks etc, only then dry it out thoroughly, put it back together with new batteries.

    What model is the TV?

Chances are it's a rebadged model from a well known brand e.g. Samsung etc. The remotes will be far cheaper from the original manufacturer - if you can find out which model !

Best bet is to do what others have suggested and get a generic replacement type.

I tried to take the whole thing apart, took the screws out and but the green chip seems to be stuck behind the battery bit.
I tried searching for an unbranded generic TV bed remote, but they don't seem to sell those anywhere.
This is the bed and they show a pic of the remote

o you have warranty? If not, it’s probably best to replace it or as previously stated get a universal one.

Yeah more money than sense. But yes! I just called and I do have warranty and I paid extra for insurance. They're sending me a new one and didn't mention me paying. :woo:

Yup. It's a LuckyGoldstar TV model number LG32LJ610V, same as this without the legs:

Probably pick up a direct LG replacement on e-bay for around £6 + p&p

    Who wanted £50 ffs?

I'd imagine the primary issue here is the fact the remote is specialised to enable it to rise out of the bed.

Nah, just had a look at the assembly instructions. The lift mechanism has a hard wired remote with a simple up/down rocker button ! TV remote will be standard supplied with the LG 32".

Check out Step 17 of that installation manual - this is what I believe OP is referring to; it's wireless.

EDIT: Yep, this is what they're referring to; it's pictured in the product page, and the OP mentioned that it's pictured.

Which bed did you end up getting? Just out of curiosity? And how on earth did you afford it on a student salary?!

Yep it was the remote for the bed not for the TV. They're charging extortionate prices because I have no option but to repurchase one from them. I could use the manual button but its' built in at the bottom of the bed. I am not sure why he didn't charge me, because when I called the customer services folk yesterday, they said I would have to pay.

Nosy I got the King size Smart TV one, I bought it when it was on offer so I got a bit of a discount, meaning I paid for a normal LED bed and they upgraded the bed to the Smart LED one instead. It was my wedding gift to him. In my culture, when women get married, they buy all the furniture for their new home.
