One night stand - should I message her?

During a night out I met a girl I used to be friends (not that close friends) with but hadn't seen for 2 years. We ended up sleeping together and I'd quite like it to be something more but I've never had a ONS before so have no idea how it works.

Is this a situation where she's likely to expect/appreciate a message and maybe asking her out? Or one where the norm would be to totally leave it? Girls what would you prefer?

Well how did the night go? If you had a nice time together regardless of your one nighter and she seemed to enjoy your company then you could message her
Personally, ( I am quite an awkward person and do not like it if a guy is too forward).
I think that if you just keep popping up and being on the radar as they say and keep a conversation flowing.
Then if she continues to message back and gives off the impression that she likes messaging u back or something like that ask her out.
But idk
Are you ever gonna see her again? If so you should ask her out to get drinks in person
