CGP!!!! Get them for every subject; they got me 11 A*'s and I did not open one single GCSE exam board-made text book given to me by school in all of my revision process. The CGP and specs can get you the very highest grades. Science especially, use the specs also, it is literally a memory test. I was awful at science in lessons as I paid no attention so didn't remember anything..in my chemistry mock I got a D due to no revision but in the real exam, using the spec and CGP to learn all information, I got 600/600UMS (full UMS for each 6 science papers). I SWEAR BY CGP!!!

When I did the new maths and English gcse, the cgp guides were literally my life. They include all the information needed for the exam. Get the maths 9-1 complete revision and practice one because then it includes questions as well. For English the cgp guides can be useful but they are quite vague. The best advice I can give for English is come up with your own analysis and use points from your teacher because otherwise everyone will be writing the same points from the cgp guide. The examiner will like to see new and innovative ideas - be original. For English language the cgp guide was slightly more useful as it included exam examples, and because we were the first year the resources were quite limited so that was an advantage. For English literature I literally made my own analysis for the books I studied. This makes it easier to remember as well as you made it up yourself.
I got 9s for maths and English and the rest A*s so if you have anymore questions feel free to ask

Get workbooks they’re better for the revision. The reason being that you make the notes yourself in class
