    Reaction 1: H2 + I2 —> 2HI
    Reaction 2: At+ + Cl- —> AgCl
    Reaction 3: •CH3 + •CH3 —> C2H6
    Reaction 4: OH- + CH3Br —> CH3OH + Br-

    Think about whats happening in each of the reactions
    Reaction 1 needs two bonds to break and then bonds to form, thats going to be slow (relatively)
    Whereas reaction 2 just needs the two species to join together, which is fast as the ions are of opposite charge
