The Trafford Centre is wiered. It has to be seen to believed. They place cost twise to built as Blue Water because the amount of detail is amazing. Its like it was built by the victorians. Its not that big, much bigger than the Meadow Hall in sheffield but the new Arndale in Manchester city centre (which is already the biggest cirty centre shopping centre in Europe) will bigger.

I think to answer your question you need vistit yourself and you will see what I mean.

It's quite big yes. Especially that big ol' boat they have in there.
The Trafford Centre is big, but not as big as Bluewater! I kinda think thats a positive - Bluewater's too big I get too lost there lol!
i think blue water is actually bigger, but doesnt have as many visitors. we did about out of town shopping centres for A level geog! i could dig my notes out but that would just be sad

i did my work exp with the architects that designed the place. personally i dont like it, its a bit too much for me, and it all looks fake and imitated! but thats just me

tis good for shoppin though, not that easy to get to without a car.
im *officially* sad :frown:

the trafford centre covers 150 acres and has 100,067 sq metres of retail space and 29,954 sq metres of leisure space
bluewater has 140,000 sq metres of retail and 11,600 sq metres of leisure

trafford centre has 24million vistors a year
bluewater actually has 27million

but trafford centres catchment area is 5.4 million ppl
bluewaters is 4.9 million ppl

and total retail expenditure is higher in the trafford centres catchment

and blue water hasnt got a selfridges

cant believe i looked this up

i always find that bluewater is too big too. we usually tend to go to lakeside instead as it has the shops we need withouht needing to walk miles.

but bluewaters always a cool place to visit with place when you've got a whole day ahead of you. Nevr been to the manchester on tho

Does Bluewater sell cocktails at £15,000 a glass? The trafford centre does

I think he meant £150 unless you get to keep the glass and it was lined with gold and made of ruby!

It was lined with gold I think and yes it was £15,000! That shop also sold a pair of £1000 bananas once.

A £15,000 cocktail shaker can be bought at Harvey Nichols in Manchester. The world's most expensive cocktail comes with a diamond ring instead of an olive and has already been purchased by Manchester United teammates to suprise their girlfriends. (METRO)

Ah har!

IRA, fathers day 1996, me stood on piccadilly....BANG

bye bye M&S, corn exchange, half the arndale centre, royal exchange, and probably a bit more.

8 years later, selfridges, the triangle, big new m&s, harvey nicks, exchange square.
