Not really as you would study some sort of course as part of the apprenticeship

You would study an apprenticeship in place of post 16 education
You are required to continue studying and an apprenticeship does that

An apprenticeship counts as full-time education so you can't do one and be in fill+time education doing something else at the same time. Apprenticeships have you working during the day, how do you expect to be working at an apprenticeship and be sat in a classroom doing another course at the same time? Obviously you can't.
