    Hi,

I'm just wondering if I would qualify for exceptional circumstances for university - my first choice is Southampton then my second is Cardiff.

In year 12 I suffered the deaths of both my grate aunts (we are a close family).

In the summer going into year 13 I was very ill, numerous hospital trips, being transferred to specialists etc. I was ill for around 5 months including being bed bound for 1 month. This also meant that I had to drop out of D of E gold along with it stopping me from studying, doing school work and boosting my grades over the summer before the start of year 13. I can get written confirmation from my doctor. In addition, my Nan has very very aggressive stage 4 cancer thats terminal. Her cancer has spread to her stomach and lung so the growth is rapid and the doctors cannot cure it. This causes huge stress and pressure on me and also the trauma effects me and the whole family.

I'm currently in year 13 and I'm applying for Philosophy and Politics. The entry requirements for both unis are ABB however would I get them lowered to BBB?

    Thanks for your help.

In a word yes. In my unqualified opinion this definitely qualifies as extenuating circumstances.:sadnod:
