    Hi all

I am a little disappointed my brother said there is nothing good about the open university.

I went into employment at 18 and held two respected jobs in a call centre and bank then left to pursue a degree with the Open university.

Although there is a lack of experience in social interaction, i made an effort to study in public libraries and had a bit of a nightlife.

I juggled mental illness and failed my degree with the open university. My brother just recently said to me theres nothing good about the OU.

I come from a posh family and regard myself as working class because of my salary and job prospects.I also improved my social skills vastly by improving my substance abuse problems.

I am so mad what my brother said. What should I say to him?.

The OU is good if you can hack it. I'm very much an extrovert and felt isolated whilst at the OU. I also disliked the lack of support, I like to have a teacher to physically speak to and ask questions too. I also struggled to motivate myself whilst at the OU. I'm now doing an access course at an actual college with my goal being university and I'm a lot happier.
