Graduate Medicine - Relevant work experience at a healthcare setting

Hey everyone! I'm from India & currently studying Biomedical Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University & wish to pursue Graduate Medicine after completing aforementioned degree as well. I'm currently in 2nd year & have some doubts regarding the placement opportunity I'll probably be opting for next year as I'm enrolled on a sandwich degree for now. So, Does anyone happen to know whether such industrial/clinical experience, say at Reckett Benckiser, Pfizer, NHS, some other R&D departments & other uni.'s etc. could count as valuable & make any difference for an intl. student who's currently on a track of 2:1 scored in 1st year & wishes to switch over to 4 year graduate medicine course which is offered by some uni.'s such as King's, Warwick etc. after bachelors in UK? I've also tried to gain some considerable experience last year via working as a PA at a disability centre for 6 months & did some GP shadowing as well. Hence, If somehow, however, I manage to get a placement for next year, Should I opt for it or skip it & proceed to last year & finish the degree as soon as possible with more relevant healthcare setting's voluntary experience gained throughout alongside the course within next two years as well? Any suggestions/guidance would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
