    Hi..
    when explaining enzyme specificity, do we say that active site is complementary to the shape of substrate OR
    the substrate molecule is complementary to the shape of active site ..
    I AM VERY CONFUSED ABOUT IT and I have test on it tomorrow.. please need HELP.😰

    They're exactly the same statements.
    I say that the substrate molecule is complimentary to the shape of the active site but it really doesn't matter as long as one is complimentary to the other.

    They're both pretty much the same, you can use any.
