I am currently in Year 11 and I am taking my final GCSE Maths Exams next year in May/June. At the moment, I am failing the subject, no matter how much time I put into revision, nothing seems to work or make sense. Please help.

Sounds like you have the case of studying a lot but not studying right. How do you currently revise?

If you are doing Higher papers then it might be an idea to change to Foundation ?

yes maths is hard but you can pass it!. make sure to ask your teacher for past paper questions or buy the cgp 1-9 gcse maths book, youtube videos are also very helpful. Ever heard of the khan academy? I think those videos are very informative and useful. also i went from a grade 6 to 8 in maths , the reason for that was constantly asking my teacher questions i couldn't solve that i did at home as extra work. I tended to ask my teacher after class if you don't like asking in front of everyone, if you have lets say a smart friend ask them or ask your teacher for an hour after school so its you and just them- you get the gist? they are there to teach so there is nothing wrong in pestering them with maths problems. hope this works and all goes well for maths gcse. constant hard work pays off in the end.

Just do a lot of past papers then go over everything you get wrong with a teacher. You’ll get there with enough repetitions.

What sort of problems are you struggling with?

Are you being put in for Higher or Foundation?
