Is there really any point in having an aspirational choice (a university asking for above my AAA predicted grade)? Do I apply to ones below or in line with my predicted grades only? Do I take a risk and drop one potential choice for a very unlikely choice?

I honestly think you should be safe, most people either meet their predicted grade or score lower, depending on your course and how competitive it is I personally would play it safe.
