    If there’s a quadratic to complete the square and then there’s the same but doubled how do you find the value of x for the second one using the 1st example below

    x is the same but y doubles:look at the second eqn as 2(x+3)^2 - 26 (once the square is completed)

    Think it's (-a,b) is the vertex where you get A and b from completing the square then and as  y=2f(x) then the vertex is (-a,2b)

    It depends if it is - the function or if it is -x
    -x reflects the graph in the y axis
    -f(x) reflects the graph in the x axis.

    The X value of the minimum point becomes the x value of the maximum point.
